About the Role
Are you a passionate Social Sciences Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of critical thinkers? We're recruiting for a well-established secondary school in Rugby, offering an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team and make a real impact within a growing subject area.
You'll deliver thought-provoking lessons across subjects such as Sociology, Psychology and Criminology, encouraging students to question, analyse and better understand the world around them.
What You'll Be Doing
Plan and deliver lively, engaging Social Sciences lessons across KS4 and KS5
Bring subjects such as Sociology, Psychology and related disciplines to life
Build a classroom culture where thoughtful debate, critical thinking and analysis thrive
Assess students' work and provide clear, constructive feedback that helps them progress
Track student progress and introduce targeted strategies to support achievement
Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every student can succeed
Play an active role in curriculum planning and the continued development of the department
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
A degree in Sociology, Psychology or another relevant subject
Experience teaching Social Sciences at secondary level, ideally across KS4 and KS5
Confident subject knowledge across one or more Social Sciences disciplines
Strong communication skills and confident classroom management
A genuine passion for education and helping students reach their potential
