We are currently seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join a friendly and welcoming primary school in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about supporting their wellbeing, safety and development during lunchtime periods.
As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring pupils have a positive, safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience. You will help to promote good behaviour, encourage positive social interactions and support children both in the dining hall and on the playground.
This role would be ideal for individuals with experience working with children, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise pupils during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Monitor behaviour in the dining hall, playground and other designated areas around the school.
Encourage positive play, social interaction and inclusive behaviour among pupils.
Assist younger children with practical tasks where required.
Promote good manners and appropriate behaviour during mealtimes.
Support pupils in resolving minor disagreements and encourage respectful communication.
Administer basic first aid when necessary in accordance with school procedures.
Report any accidents, incidents, safeguarding concerns or behavioural issues to the relevant staff members.
Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas where required.
Ensure school policies relating to health and safety, safeguarding and behaviour management are followed consistently.

Previous experience in a school, childcare, youth work or similar setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
