ICT Teacher - Inspire the Next Generation of Digital Innovators
Are you a passionate and innovative ICT Teacher looking to make a real difference in the classroom? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to join a thriving secondary school in Rugby, where you will play a key role in developing students' digital literacy, computing knowledge, and technological skills.

The Role
As an ICT Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop confidence in technology, problem-solving, and digital creativity.

You will work closely with a supportive department to deliver a broad and engaging curriculum covering areas such as:

Information and Communication Technology
Computer Science
Programming and Coding
Cyber Security
Data Representation
Digital Media
Spreadsheets and Databases
Networks and Systems
E-Safety and Online Awareness
Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ICT and Computing lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
Differentiate learning activities to support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes achievement and engagement.
Develop students' practical ICT skills alongside theoretical understanding.
Monitor and track student attainment and implement intervention strategies where required.
Contribute to curriculum planning, department development, and educational initiatives.
Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations of student conduct.
Participate in parents' evenings, staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Support students in preparing for GCSE and other relevant examinations.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.

The successful candidate will possess:

Essential Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in ICT, Computer Science, Computing, or a related subject.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology education.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
The ability to motivate and inspire young people.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
