South Derbyshire - Office Based - Credit Controller - Temporary
Eaton Syalon are working with our client in South Derbyshire to recruit a temporary Credit Controller into their Finance team. The role will be a standalone position with full ownership of the ledger. The ideal candidate will be available immediately or at short notice to start this temporary position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Credit checking customer accounts
* Analyse debtor data for trends, risks, and opportunities
* Manage and maintain credit insurance cover
* Analyse aged debt reports
* Develop strong relationships with key customers to support prompt payment
* Drive cash collection via phone and email
* Manage and support month end close processes
* Produce and monitor key credit control KPIs
* Provide accurate and timely data to support cashflow forecasting, bad debt provisioning and financial reporting
* Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on debtors
* Maintain and enhance credit control procedures
* Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk
* Maintain the sales ledger, including account set up, monitoring, cash collection, and query resolution
* Manage and support month end close processes
The must haves:
Previous credit control/sales ledger experience
Happy working in a standalone credit control role
Strong Excel skills - pivot tables and V look ups as a minimum standard
Capable of managing the credit control process from start to finish
