Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Hitchin, is looking for a Trainee Production Operative to join their team.

No previous electroplating experience is required – full training will be provided.

You will be trained in the electroplating process, working with manufactured metal components and learning how to prepare, plate and quality-check parts.

Load and unload components safely

Learn nickel and zinc electroplating processes

Jig and wire components ready for processing

Carry out quality checks on finished products

Follow production instructions and health & safety procedures

Keep the work area clean and organised

Work as part of a busy production team

Develop your skills with the opportunity to progress to a fully trained Electroplater

About You

Keen to learn a skilled trade

Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment

Physically fit, as the role involves lifting and moving components

Good with their hands and has good attention to detail

Able to follow instructions and production processes

A good team player

Previous production or manufacturing experience would be beneficial but transferable experience from warehouse, assembly, factory or other hands-on environments will also be considered.

Experience with powder coating, metal finishing, chemicals or engineering drawings would be an advantage but is not essential.
