Location: Huddersfield (HD1) – Relocating to Elland in January 2027
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
Novara People is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Labourer to join a well-established manufacturing company specialising in the production of high-quality windows, doors and aluminium products.
This is a very physically demanding role, involving regular heavy lifting, moving large products and supporting the day to day operations of a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment.
The company is currently based in HD1, Huddersfield, but will be relocating to Elland in January 2027, so applicants must be able to travel to both locations.
Key Responsibilities
Moving and handling large, heavy products, including aluminium bi-fold doors, window frames and door frames.
Loading, unloading and transporting materials around the warehouse and production areas.
Lifting and positioning frames and manufactured products safely.
Assisting production teams with moving completed products to designated storage or dispatch areas.
Preparing finished products for storage, collection or dispatch.
Supporting the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
Organising stock, materials and components within the warehouse.
Checking products for visible damage during handling.
Assisting with wrapping, packaging and protecting finished products.
Keeping warehouse and production areas clean, tidy and free from hazards.
Following manual handling procedures and all health and safety guidelines.
Carrying out other general warehouse and labouring duties as required.
Must be able to commute Elland from January 2027.
Skills:
Physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy manual handling.
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, labouring or production experience preferred.
Comfortable working with large and sometimes awkwardly shaped products.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Able to work effectively as part of a team.
Good awareness of workplace health and safety.
Flexible attitude and willingness to assist across different areas of the business
