HGV Class 2 Driver - Refuse Collection

Cleansing Driver – Huddersfield

Lynx Employment Services are looking for an experienced Cleansing Driver to join a busy waste and street cleansing operation in Huddersfield.
This is a hands-on role combining HGV driving with refuse collection, cleansing duties and waste operations. You'll be working both independently and as part of a team, helping keep local streets and communities clean.

### The role

Drive HGV vehicles, refuse vehicles and mechanical sweepers

Collect refuse, trade waste and skips from households and businesses

Assist with loading and removing waste

Operate lifting equipment safely

Carry out driver and vehicle checks

Complete driver records, timesheets and in-cab information

Follow collection routes, schedules and maps

Report vehicle faults, accidents and operational issues

Carry out refuse loading and other cleansing duties when required

Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Communicate professionally with members of the public and colleagues
### What we're looking for

You'll need:

Valid LGV Class C / HGV Class 2 licence
Valid CPC
Banksman training
Good understanding of safe working practices
Ability to carry out physically demanding work, including lifting, bending and walking
Basic IT skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and provide guidance to others when required

### Hours & Pay

£13.69 per hour PAYE
10 hours per day, 4 days per week
Huddersfield
This is a physically active role, so you'll need to be comfortable working outdoors and getting involved with the wider cleansing operation as well as the driving.
