Duties
* Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
* Load, secure, and unload cargo with precision, ensuring goods are transported safely and securely
* Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to identify any maintenance needs or safety concerns
* Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times
* Complete all necessary documentation, including delivery logs, vehicle checklists, and compliance paperwork
* Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate delivery times and address any issues promptly
* Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with clients and team members
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
* Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed loads and delivery operations
* Knowledge of current road safety regulations and transportation legislation
* Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads on flatbeds
* Strong navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
