HGV Class 1 Linehaul Driver
Location: Leicester, LE4
Shift: Late afternoons / Nights
Pay Rate: £18.25 per hour + overtime + travel allowance
Job Type: Full-time, ongoing
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Linehaul Drivers to join a busy and well-established operation based in Leicester (LE4).
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for regular, ongoing work with competitive pay rates and overtime available.
The role will involve trunking/linehaul work between sites, with a focus on safe, efficient and reliable deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
* Driving a Class 1 HGV on planned linehaul/trunking routes
* Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
* Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
* Completing required delivery paperwork and electronic records
* Complying with drivers' hours, working time and road safety regulations
* Maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card
* Valid Driver CPC
* Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience is a bonus
* A reliable and professional approach to work
* Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
