We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our project team during the Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) stage of remediation project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating site investigation, survey and opening-up works to establish an identify defects and assist the wider project team in developing the proposed remediation strategy and construction methodology.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a background in external envelope, refurbishment or building investigation to play a key role during the pre-construction phase of a complex project.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Manager, Design Team and specialist subcontractors, you will manage the day-to-day site activities associated with the PCSA investigation programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and coordinating façade investigation and opening-up works during the PCSA stage.
Planning and sequencing investigation activities in accordance with the agreed programme.
Coordinating specialist subcontractors undertaking surveys, intrusive investigations and opening-up works.
Managing site access, scaffolding, MEWPs, temporary works and associated logistics.
Ensuring investigation works are undertaken safely and in accordance with approved RAMS and project requirements.
Coordinating with consultants, structural engineers, architects and other members of the design team.
Ensuring investigation areas are accurately recorded, photographed and documented.
Monitoring and reporting findings from opening-up works and identifying previously unknown site conditions.
Assisting the project team in establishing existing build-ups, materials, defects and interfaces.
Providing practical construction input into proposed remediation solutions and methodologies.
Identifying potential buildability, sequencing, access and logistical constraints at an early stage.
Assisting with the development of the construction programme and preliminary logistics planning.
Supporting the preparation of budgets, construction methodologies and risk assessments where required.
Maintaining accurate site records, investigation logs, photographs and daily reports.
Identifying unforeseen conditions and ensuring these are promptly communicated to the Project and Design Teams.
Maintaining a safe, organised and controlled site throughout the PCSA investigation period.
Supporting the transition from the PCSA stage into the main construction/remediation phase
