Bright Star Talent is currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a secondary school based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire (WN8 6JN).
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Maths Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils of varying abilities and helping them to achieve their full potential.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or a strong ECT looking to join a supportive secondary school environment. The successful candidate will be confident managing a classroom, building positive relationships with pupils and delivering the Maths curriculum effectively.
The role will include:

Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
*
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
*
Preparing pupils for GCSE Maths
*
Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
*
Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
*
Creating a positive and productive classroom environment
*
Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
*
Working collaboratively with the Maths department and wider teaching team
*
Supporting pupils to build confidence and develop their Maths skills
We are looking for someone who:

Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*
Has experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting
*
Is confident delivering the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum
*
Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
*
Is reliable, organised and committed to supporting pupil progress
*
Can build positive professional relationships with pupils and staff
*
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
*
Can provide satisfactory references and complete all relevant safeguarding and compliance checks
