Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within specialist SEN schools in Doncaster?

Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting an SEMH Teaching Assistant for temporary, ongoing supply work across a variety of specialist SEN schools in Doncaster.

This SEMH Teaching Assistant opportunity would suit someone with experience supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Schools may have varied age ranges, with some settings also having post-16 provisions, so flexibility and experience across different age groups would be beneficial.

Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £92.56 - £100 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as an SEMH Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will provide support to pupils with a range of additional needs within specialist SEN environments.

The SEMH Teaching Assistant may support learning, behaviour, emotional regulation, communication and independence, working closely with teachers and wider support teams.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with SEMH and additional needs
Provide classroom and individual support where required
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support learning, communication and independence
Build positive relationships with pupils
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
Follow safeguarding and individual support plansCandidate Requirements

Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH
Experience within an SEN, education or care setting
Flexible approach to supporting different age groups
Post-16 experience is desirable for relevant settings
Patient, resilient and supportive approach
Enhanced Child and Adult DBS or willingness to obtain bothWhat Academics Offer
