Cover Supervisor in South Yorkshire

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom when a teacher is absent, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. While you won't be required to plan lessons or undertake full teaching responsibilities, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting student progress.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes across a range of subjects.
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment.
Support students in completing set work and understanding instructions.
Encourage participation, engagement, and positive attitudes towards learning.
Monitor student welfare and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all learners.
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and student engagement.

Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
