Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Boom Operator to join our team for an immediate start in Sheffield. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a concrete boom pump to ensure the efficient and accurate placement of concrete on site. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of site safety procedures, excellent communication skills, and experience working on construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality results on a variety of projects.
Duties
* Operate concrete boom pumps safely and efficiently, ensuring the accurate placement of concrete in line with project specifications.
* Carry out daily pre-start and routine equipment inspections to ensure safe operation and identify any defects.
* Coordinate with site management, drivers, and ground crews to ensure smooth and efficient concrete pours.
* Monitor boom positioning and pumping operations to maintain safety and productivity on site.
* Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and other team members regarding operational requirements and any issues that arise.
* Complete basic maintenance checks and report faults or repair requirements promptly.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations, site rules, and company policies.
* Assist with the setup, operation, and dismantling of boom pump equipment as required.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience operating concrete boom pumps within a construction environment.
* Strong understanding of safe pumping practices and site safety requirements.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
