The RoleWe are seeking time-served Mechanical Pipe Fitters with NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Pipefitting / Installing Engineering Construction Plant & Systems for a new build EfW power station. This is a first fix and second fix mechanical install from ground up - not maintenance or shutdown work.You will be working on the full balance of plant (BoP) install.Systems You Will Be InstallingHigh Pressure / Medium Pressure / Low Pressure Steam pipeworkBoiler feedwater, condensate, steam drum pipeworkCooling water, raw water, demin water, effluentCompressed air, service air, instrument airLube oil, hydraulic oil pipeworkChemical dosing, ammonia, lime dosing (stainless / plastic)Flue gas treatment pipeworkPipework ranging from 15mm to 800mm NB - Sch10 to Sch160Key DutiesInstall pipework from P&ID's, isometric drawings, GA drawings and spool sheetsMeasuring, cutting, prepping, aligning, gasketing and bolt-up of flanged, screwed, Victaulic and butt-weld pipeworkFabricate pipe supports, brackets, hangers, spring supports, guidesWork directly with coded welders - fit-up, tacking, alignment, purge bungsInstallation of inline equipment: valves (gate, globe, butterfly, ball, control), strainers, steam traps, sight glasses, safety valves, pumps, skidsSetting to work activities: hydro-testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, steam blowing assistsCompleting quality documentation - weld maps, torque sheets, punch listsEssential Requirements - Must Have NVQ L3NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Pipefitting / Plating / Engineering Construction - Certificate must be available for JIB / CSCS verificationCSCS Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Advanced Craft Card (with NVQ L3 on reverse) OR CCNSG Safety Passport + JIB CardTime-served apprenticeship - indentures or proof of time served required on EfWMinimum 4 years experience as industrial pipe fitterProven new build heavy industrial experience: EfW / Power Station / CCGT / Biomass / Incinerator / Petrochem / RefineryAble to read and interpret complex isometrics and P&ID's - no assembly only fittersExperience working with high pressure steam systems essentialTickets & ComplianceCSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport (in date)NVQ L3 CertificateIPAF 3a/3b desirable (working from MEWP on pipe racks)Face Fit, Working at Height, Manual Handling (EfW inductions cover this)Must pass D&A test and 3-year background check (most EfW clients require it)Full 5-point PPE
