Secondary Teaching Assistant (Day-to-Day Supply) - Castle Cary

Responsibilities:
Support individual students or small groups across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Years 7-11) during lessons.
Assist class teachers with general classroom support, keeping students focused and engaged in their tasks.
Help implement tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional learning requirements.
Promote positive behaviour and foster a welcoming, safe learning space.
Adapt quickly to different subjects, age groups, and classroom environments throughout the school day.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with young people (aged 11-16) in a school, youth group, tutoring, or care setting is preferred.
Strong communication skills with an approachable, confident manner.
A proactive attitude and the ability to hit the ground running in different classroom settings each day.
Based in or able to commute easily to Castle Cary.
Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. A degree or TA qualification (Level 2/3) is an advantage but not essential.
Must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
What We Offer:
Pay Rate: £92.56 - £95.00 per day (paid weekly via agency/PAYE).
Schedule: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (term-time only).
