TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming school in Redditch. The school is looking for committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants who can provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them engage with their education and develop confidence and independence.
The school places a strong emphasis on inclusion, positive relationships and ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed. The successful SEND Teaching Assistants will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils within the classroom, deliver individual and small-group support, and encourage positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day.
The school is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants on a long-term basis, with start dates available after the October half-term or in January, depending on availability and interest.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND within an educational setting.
Experience supporting pupils with additional learning, communication, social, emotional or behavioural needs.
The ability to provide effective 1:1 and small-group support.
A good understanding of how to encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
