An opportunity to join our client's distribution centre in Basildon as a Warehouse Operative - an extensive warehouse servicing London, the Midlands and the whole of the South of England with products covering technology, home & garden, toys, appliances and health & beauty.
With business increasing, this monumental industry name is now looking for more Warehouse Operatives to join the fantastic team at this award-winning venue.
The rate of pay is £16.81 per hour.
Overtime is available and is paid at £18.89 per hour.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, working 8-hour shifts, 5 days out of 7. The hours of work are: 22:00 - 06:00
Your Time at Work
As a Warehouse Operative your duties will include:
- Using a voice-directed headset system that provides clear, step-by-step instructions for selecting the correct products that make up an order
- Stack picked products securely in a mobile cage, ensuring stability and accuracy before they are sent to the customer
- Driving a Low Level Order Picker (LLOP) safely and efficiently to transport these cages and move around to different locations within the warehouse (you will receive full training)
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment to support safe and efficient operations
Our Perfect Worker
The successful Warehouse Operative will adhere to all site Health & Safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices for themselves and others.
Applicants will be physically fit and able to handle items of various weights and sizes, including occasional heavy lifting as part of the picking and stacking process.
Experience in a warehouse role is desirable but not essential as full training is provided on-site.
