KS2 Year 6 Intervention Teacher - Part-Time

Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire | 3 Days Per Week | Immediate Start | £100-£180 Per Day

Are you a QTS teacher or experienced HLTA with strong KS2 knowledge and excellent behaviour management?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming 3-form entry junior school in Hemel Hempstead who are looking for a confident and committed Year 6 Intervention Teacher to join them immediately and work through to the end of the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to focus on targeted Year 6 intervention and SATs preparation, without the additional workload of planning and marking.

The Role

Part-time, 3 days per week
Immediate start through to the end of the academic year
Working primarily with Year 6 pupils
Delivering planned intervention lessons and targeted sessions
Supporting pupils in preparation for their KS2 SATs
Lessons and resources will be fully prepared and set for you
No lesson planning required - your focus will be on high-quality delivery and pupil progress
Identifying gaps in understanding and helping pupils build confidence ahead of their SATs
Maintaining high expectations and positive classroom routines
Effective behaviour management is essentialThe Ideal Candidate

The Headteacher is ideally looking for a qualified teacher with QTS, although a strong and experienced HLTA with excellent KS2 knowledge will also be considered.

You will need:

Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Year 6
Experience delivering interventions or supporting pupils working towards SATs
Excellent behaviour management skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
A confident and engaging teaching style
A good understanding of how to identify and address gaps in learning
Reliability and commitment to the full duration of the placementPay & Benefits

£100-£180 per day, depending on HLTA/ Teacher status, experience and suitability
Part-time, 3 days per week - flexible hours to be confirmed
Immediate start
Long-term role through to the end of the academic year
No planning or marking
