A client of ours in the Wickford area are recruiting a Finance Manager to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time temporary position for an initial 3 months, working Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch, and paying up to £26.44 per hour (£55,000 per annum).
Your key duties in this Finance Manager role will include but are not limited to:
Producing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow analysis and commentary.
Managing budgets, forecasts, costings and financial reporting, providing insight to support business decisions.
Preparing draft statutory accounts and quarterly VAT returns, as well as managing payroll and bank reconciliations.
Overseeing purchase ledger, supplier payment runs, credit control and day-to-day finance operations.
Supervising and supporting the Finance team, including providing cover and managing finance queries.
Reviewing and improving financial controls, processes and accounting systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Supporting business planning, acquisitions and commercial projects where required.Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Finance Manager role:
Qualified ACCA or CIMA with proven experience working as a Finance Manager.
Strong knowledge of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, VAT and statutory accounts.
Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems, ideally including Sage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confident leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
