We are seeking a proactive, analytical, and relationship-driven Commercial Manager to join our dynamic commercial team. Covering the full product lifecycle—from initial concept and bidding through to in-service delivery and disposal—you will act as the commercial focal point for major defense programmes.
 
Key Responsibilities

Drive the full Route to Contract during bidding phases. Coordinate multi-functional teams to deliver accurate cost proposals, negotiate terms, and secure new business while protecting profitability.
Oversee day-to-day contractual compliance, managing amendments, risk profiles, and delivery obligations to ensure we meet every promise made to our customers.
Establish and maintain collaborative, long-term relationships with key customers, international partners, and major stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual queries, working closely with legal counsel to manage risks, terms, and intellectual property.
Brief senior executives on contract performance, progress, and risk mitigation strategies. 
What We Are Looking For

Proven experience in contract management, bidding, and negotiating complex commercial terms within defense, aerospace, or advanced engineering.
Direct experience working with or into the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), DE&S, or handling DEFCONs and defense procurement frameworks is highly desirable.
Ability to navigate intricate commercial issues and find pragmatic solutions in high-pressure environments.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
Candidates with a legal background (e.g., in-house contracts team) who have transitioned into commercial management are encouraged to apply
