Mechanical Design Engineer

This initial three-month contract will focus predominantly on Stage 4 and Stage 5 design, working across multiple smaller schemes through the run-up to the end of the year.

The position offers £45-£48 per hour DOE, Outside IR35, with five days per week required in the London office.

The Role

Working closely with the Mechanical Director, you'll provide technical design support across approximately 10-15 live projects at various stages of delivery.

Your work will include producing schedules, sizing and selecting equipment, develop detailed design information and use Bluebeam for drawing reviews and mark-ups.

With several schemes progressing simultaneously, you'll need to be comfortable balancing priorities and producing accurate technical work within a fast-moving project environment.

What We're Looking For

Strong mechanical Building Services design experience
Experience working at Stage 4 and Stage 5
Background in commercial fit-out projects
Good knowledge of MEP design and coordination
Experience producing equipment schedules
Confident with mechanical equipment sizing and selection
Bluebeam experience for reviews and mark-ups
Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
Education project experience would be beneficial
Availability to work from the London office five days per week
