SW Locums is recruiting an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join Barnet Council’s Children’s Services, supporting Looked After Children and young people to achieve stability, permanency and positive outcomes.

The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of Looked After Children from infancy through to 18 years, providing high-quality assessments, care planning and direct work.
You will be responsible for:

Managing a caseload of Looked After Children.

Developing and reviewing effective care and pathway plans.
*
Completing risk assessments and safety planning.
*
Working closely with partner agencies to safeguard children.
*
Undertaking direct work, including life story work.
*
Supporting young people to develop independence and prepare for adulthood.
*
Using creative and analytical approaches to achieve the best possible outcomes.
About You
We are looking for an experienced social worker with recent Looked After Children experience, strong assessment and care planning skills, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
