Factory Operative
Location: Witham, Essex
Pay: £12.85 per hour
Hours: Weekly rotating - 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00
We are currently recruiting Factory Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Witham.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity offering full-time hours, ongoing training, and the chance to secure a permanent position with a significant pay increase.
This role is ideal for candidates with previous manufacturing or factory experience who are looking to join a busy production environment with genuine career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities of Factory Operative:
Preparing products ready for the manufacturing process
Working on production lines within a fast-paced factory environment
Operating machinery and manufacturing equipment
Using overhead cranes and forklifts where required (full training provided)
Loading, unloading and safely moving products around the factory
Carrying out quality inspections on finished products
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
Following all production procedures and health & safety regulations
Assisting other departments as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience within a Manufacturing and Production or factory environment
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling duties
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment
Working Hours:
Week 1
Monday to Friday: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2
Monday to Friday: 14:00 - 22:00
(Rotating weekly shifts)
Training - Successful candidates will complete an initial training period on the day shift before moving onto rotating shifts.
