Housing Officer
Pay: £19.71 PAYE or £28.51 Umbrella per hour
Contract: Temporary, 3 months
Location: Dartford, Gravesend & Maidstone
Reporting to: Housing & Estates Manager
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy housing team on a 3-month temporary contract. You'll manage a portfolio of around 615 properties, delivering a high-quality service to residents across lettings, tenancy management, rent arrears, estate inspections and anti-social behaviour cases.
This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and confidently manage relationships with residents, contractors and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage tenancies, tenancy audits and resident enquiries.
Handle lettings, voids, sign-ups and end-of-tenancy processes.
Monitor rent arrears and take appropriate action to reduce rent loss.
Manage anti-social behaviour cases from start to finish.
Carry out estate inspections and ensure health & safety standards are maintained.
Promote resident engagement and community involvement.
Maintain accurate records, reports and housing management system updates.
Build positive relationships with residents, contractors and local authority partners.About You
Experienced Housing Officer with strong housing management knowledge.
Able to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience using housing management systems and CRM databases.
Organised, proactive and confident dealing with residents and contractors.
