About this job

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Site Manager to join my clients team and play a key role in delivering some genuinely unique property projects.

Their work is far from your typical construction site. They are involved in the refurbishment, restoration and redevelopment of castles, retreats and other character properties, with projects currently taking place across Yorkshire and Cumbria.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being on site, working with trades and contractors, solving problems and making sure projects keep moving.

The role

🏗️ Day-to-day site management and coordination

👷 Managing and coordinating subcontractors and trades

📋 Monitoring progress against project programmes

🔨 Checking workmanship and maintaining high standards

🚚 Coordinating materials, deliveries, plant and equipment

📸 Recording site progress and reporting issues

🦺 Supporting site health & safety

🔧 Helping resolve problems and keep projects on programme

✅ Managing snagging and outstanding works

🤝 Working closely with contractors, suppliers and the wider management team

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is practical, organised, proactive and not afraid to get stuck in.

Ideally, you’ll have previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or in a similar construction role, with a good understanding of refurbishment and building projects.

You’ll need to be confident dealing with trades and subcontractors, able to spot issues before they become problems and comfortable taking responsibility.

Experience with refurbishment, restoration, heritage or complex building projects would be a real advantage.

Location & travel

Ideally, you’ll be based around Warrington / Northwich, as you’ll be required to attend the office at least once a week.

Projects are primarily across Yorkshire and Cumbria, so regular travel and overnight stays on site will be part of the role.

A full UK driving licence is essential, and accommodation will be provided for work-related overnight stays
