KS3 & KS4 Mathematics | Secondary Academy | Full-Time Teaching Opportunity

Secondary Mathematics teaching opportunity covering KS3 and KS4 within an established academy setting, with strong departmental support and access to professional development.

A Teacher of Mathematics is required for a Secondary Academy in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, teaching pupils across KS3 and KS4. This is an opportunity for a suitably qualified teacher to join an established Mathematics department and take responsibility for delivering well-structured lessons across the curriculum.

The School

The academy is an established secondary school serving pupils across the local community. The Mathematics department supports students through Key Stage 3 before preparing them for GCSE study at Key Stage 4.

The role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering Mathematics lessons to pupils across KS3 and KS4, assessing progress and contributing to the wider work of the department.

Responsibilities will include:

Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
Planning lessons appropriate to different abilities
Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations
Maintaining consistent classroom expectations
Working with colleagues to support pupil achievement
Participating in normal departmental and school duties

What you will need

QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Recent experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary setting
Experience teaching KS3 and KS4
Good curriculum knowledge
Strong classroom management
Ability to build professional relationships with pupils and colleagues
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
