Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Preston for a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The school supports pupils aged 4–16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and complex needs. The school provides a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The role will involve:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
Encouraging pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils to reach their individual goals.
Supporting pupils with communication, independence, and personal care where required.
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team.
To be considered, you will need:

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
