SW Locums is currently recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join Bracknell Forest Council on a full-time locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified social worker with strong statutory children’s social care experience to make a positive difference to children, young people and families.
About the Role
To succeed in this role, you will have strong knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, policies and thresholds, alongside excellent experience of multi-agency working and partnership practice.
You will be confident in completing child-focused assessments, developing needs-led safety plans and producing high-quality reports, statements and court documentation. You will also champion good social work practice, contribute to an inclusive team culture and participate in reflective supervision and continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, Care Proceedings and Children Looked After cases.
*
Complete child-focused assessments and develop effective safeguarding and outcome-focused plans.
*
Undertake Section 17 assessments and Section 47 investigations.
*
Participate in the duty system and respond to child protection concerns.
*
Work effectively with partner agencies and other professionals.
*
Maintain accurate case records in line with departmental policies, GDPR and data protection requirements.
*
Prioritise workload effectively and meet statutory deadlines for visits, assessments and reports.
*
Participate in regular reflective supervision and develop clear intervention strategies.
