Location: Preston
Salary: £15.50 per hour | £17.37 with Holiday Pay
Overtime after 8h £23.25/h or £26.05/h with holiday pay
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Ad-Hoc
Shifts: Day Shifts – Monday to Friday 7am

About the Role

Careermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston. Due to continued growth and peak demand, we have both ongoing and ad-hoc day shifts available to suit a range of availability and working preferences.

You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries and collections, with a focus on safety, compliance, and delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out deliveries and collections across the UK during the day.

* Ensure loads are safely strapped and secure.

* Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues.

* Maintain clear communication with the transport office.

* Accurately complete paperwork and represent the client professionally.

Requirements

* Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with current CPC and Digi Tacho card.

* Strong understanding of driver hours and tacho regulations.

* No more than 6 points on your licence and no major endorsements (e.g. DR10, IN10, TT99).

* Good communication skills and a flexible, customer-focused approach.

* Able to work independently and maintain professional standards.

* MINIMUM 12 MONTHS OF CLASS 1 DRIVING EXPERIENCE
