The Contracting Awards 2020 launches to recognise vital contractor service providers

It is fair to say that it has been a turbulent year for contractors; with the Loan Charge, IR35 reform, and the recent coronavirus measures, to name but a few hurdles that they have had to contend with.

This is why now more than ever, contractor service providers who are doing their utmost to support contractors every step of the way through their trials and tribulations need to be recognised.

ContractorUK is therefore excited to support The Contracting Awards 2020 as their official partner in its second year spotlighting exceptional contractor service providers.

The awards will be supported by ContractorUK between now and November, when the winners will be crowned at a glitzy black-tie event in London.

The November 4th ceremony will be held once again at the Moncalm Hotel, Marble Arch, and will celebrate providers who go ‘above and beyond’ in 20 different categories of services to contractors, the organisers said.

The 20 categories include Best Contractor Accountancy, Best Umbrella Company, Best Recruitment Agency (across IT, Engineering and Finance), Best Banking Provider and Best Contractor Insurance Provider or Broker.

“There are so many service providers who are working tirelessly to support contractors through their current situations, from accountants and recruiters to insurers and mortgage advisers,” said ContractorUK director Anthony Sherick.

“We are proud to recognise and celebrate the excellent work that these companies and individuals are doing for contractors by partnering with the Contracting Awards 2020.”

Awards’ entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts, including Julia Kermode of the FCSA and Seb Maley of Qdos Contractor, with ‘innovative practices’ and ‘exemplary customer service’ due to be among the judging criteria.

The awards night will begin with an exclusive drinks reception, followed by a three-course dinner in The Montcalm’s Grand Ballroom, ahead of the culmination -- the winners being announced.
