Passionate SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted in North London
Remedy Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in North London. We are looking for an individual who can provide compassionate, consistent and effective support to pupils with additional needs.
The successful candidate will play an important role in helping pupils overcome learning challenges, manage their emotions and develop the confidence and independence needed to succeed in education.
Main Duties:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
Assist children with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and speech and language needs.
Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Help maintain a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
Encourage engagement, participation and independence.
Use positive behaviour support strategies to promote appropriate behaviour.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to meet pupils' needs.
What We Are Looking For:
Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role is desirable.
A patient, understanding and resilient personality.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
The ability to adapt to different pupils and learning environments.
A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
