Remedy Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming school in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored academic, social, emotional and behavioural support to pupils with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
Support children with autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties and communication needs.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
Help implement individual education plans and personalised learning strategies.
Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
A patient, caring and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Confidence supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
A genuine commitment to inclusive education.
