Training will take place at the Oldham site. After training, the role will be based at Bredbury Industrial Park. Please only apply if you can reliably travel to both locations.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30 am to 5 pm
About the Role
Sure Start Staff is recruiting for Warehouse Operatives with Assembly experience to join a busy warehouse team on a permanent shift pattern at Bredbury Industrial Park.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, long-term employment, with the position expected to become permanent following a successful temporary period.
You will be responsible for carrying out general warehouse duties, assembling products, packing finished goods, carrying out quality checks, and preparing orders for dispatch.
The work will involve:
* Carry out general warehouse duties, including moving and organising stock
* Assemble products and components according to instructions
* Pack finished products ready for dispatch
* Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
* Pick and prepare orders accurately
* Label finished products and packages
* Check products and components for damage or defects
* Maintain accurate stock levels and report discrepancies
* Follow work instructions and company procedures
* Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working area
* Report any product defects, stock issues or other problems promptly
Skills/Experience needed:
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking
* Comfortable working shifts
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Physically fit and comfortable carrying out warehouse, assembly and packing duties
* Comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment
* Detail-oriented with a good eye for quality
* Able to carry out assembly tasks accurately and follow instructions
* Able to follow instructions and Health & Safety procedures
* Able to commute to both Oldham and Bredbury during the training period
