Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and looking for flexible work in Greenwich primary schools?

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting enthusiastic, caring and reliable Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Greenwich, Woolwich, Eltham, Plumstead, Charlton, Blackheath and Thamesmead.

We have opportunities for candidates with experience in mainstream classrooms, early years settings and supporting pupils with special educational needs.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or have relevant experience working with children in another setting, we'd love to hear from you.

What will the role involve?

Supporting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery

Working with pupils individually and in small groups

Helping children develop literacy, numeracy and communication skills

Supporting pupils with SEND where required

Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence

Helping create a safe and inclusive learning environment

What we're looking for:

Previous experience supporting children in schools or similar settings

A patient, positive and proactive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Confidence working with children of different ages and abilities

Reliability and flexibility

Commitment to safeguarding and children's wellbeing

Working hours and pay

Working hours vary depending on the school and assignment. Some opportunities may involve standard classroom hours, while others can include breakfast club supervision, after-school clubs or additional pupil support.

Pay rates can vary according to your relevant experience, qualifications, specialist skills, responsibilities and the total hours worked.

For example, an assignment involving additional hours or specialist SEND responsibilities may have different pay arrangements from a standard classroom support role.

The agreed rate, working hours and responsibilities will be explained before each assignment.

Flexible working opportunities to suit your availability

Daily and short-term assignments in local primary schools

Competitive rates of pay

Access to free CPD through The National College

Support from a dedicated primary education consultant
