Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment.

Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, resilience and progress.

Support pupils in developing the skills needed to engage successfully with education.

The Ideal Candidate

HLTA qualification or relevant experience delivering learning activities independently.

Previous experience in an alternative provision, PRU, SEMH school or a similar educational setting.

Confident behaviour-management and de-escalation skills.

A calm, patient and consistent approach when supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

An ASAP start, subject to satisfactory recruitment and safeguarding checks.

Competitive daily pay, confirmed before the assignment begins.

Ongoing support from your dedicated Tradewind Recruitment consultant.

Access to professional development and training opportunities.

The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils who need additional support to succeed.
