Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support in the design of sub-modules for integration onto an unmanned aerial system (UAS), contributing to the development of practical and production-ready components.
Key Responsibilities:
Design mechanical sub-modules for integration onto UAS platforms
Develop detailed 3D models and engineering designs using Creo
Manage design files and documentation through the WINDCHILL system
Use the AAX plugin for Creo to support design and engineering activities
Contribute to the design of aerodynamic enclosures and radomes
Liaise with manufacturing facilities to support the fast-turnaround production of parts
Help determine suitable materials and manufacturing methods for components
Support the delivery of robust, practical and aerospace-compliant mechanical solutions
Job Requirements:
Experience in mechanical engineering within an aerospace or advanced engineering environment
Proficiency in Creo
Understanding of WINDCHILL file management
Ability to use the AAX plugin for Creo
Experience designing aerodynamic enclosures and radomes would be advantageous
Understanding of materials selection and manufacturing methods
SC would be ideal but not required (Security Clearable)
Ability to liaise effectively with manufacturing teams and external suppliers
Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
