Marketing Manager (Contract)
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Marketing Manager to join a well-established, engineering-led technology business on an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential to extend. This is a hands-on role where you'll have genuine ownership across digital and campaign activity, helping shape how a specialist product portfolio is positioned across international markets.
The business designs and manufactures precision MEMS inertial sensing technology (e.g., gyroscopes, accelerometers and inertial measurement units) used across a range of high-performance applications. The role is based in Plymouth, with some hybrid working considered for the right contractor.

Role: Marketing Manager (Contract)
Location: Plymouth, Devon (some hybrid working considered)
Type: Contract - 6 months initial (likely extension)
Pay rate: Up to £45 per hour (Inside IR35)
Key responsibilities will include:
Growing and improving the company's social media presence
Supporting and updating the company website, with a focus on SEO
Managing and coordinating external partners (e.g. web developers / digital agencies)
Identifying new opportunities to increase visibility and support commercial growth
Working closely with Sales to ensure marketing activity supports pipeline and objectives
Owning and delivering campaigns for product launches, new market entry, and regional targeting
Collaborating with international stakeholders (UK/Japan/US) and supporting events activity (travel may be required)
Key skills and experience:
Proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally within high-tech / engineering environments
Strong digital marketing capability across social, digital advertising and analytics (e.g. Google Analytics)
Website/content experience ( WordPress desirable )
Excellent written communication and copywriting
Comfortable using creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud
Experience with CRM systems and reporting toolsets
Exposure to international campaigns (trade shows / PR / advertising) is beneficial
Sector exposure to any of: aerospace, space, defence, robotics, marine, unmanned vehicles is advantageous
