SEN Teaching Assistant - Bromley | Full-time | Term-time

Are you looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same?

We are recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Bromley supporting pupils with autism, severe learning difficulties and complex needs.

Bromley has a broad specialist education landscape, including settings such as Riverside School, Marjorie McClure School, Glebe School and Bromley Beacon Academy, supporting pupils with a variety of needs.

What you will be doing

You will support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

This could include:

Supporting individual pupils with EHCP targets.

Helping pupils access differentiated lessons.

Using visual timetables and communication strategies.

Supporting sensory regulation.

Assisting with personal care where required.

Encouraging independence and life skills.

Supporting pupils during community-based activities.

Working closely with class teachers and therapists.

The ideal candidate

You may already be working as:

SEN Teaching Assistant

Learning Support Assistant

Care Support Worker

Youth Worker

Behaviour Mentor

Residential Support Worker

Experience of autism, communication needs, PMLD, SLD or complex learning needs is desirable but not essential.
