Bright Star Talent is urgently recruiting a Science Teacher for a secondary school in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent. This is a full time, ongoing position teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with planning already in place to help you settle into the role.
We welcome applications from Biology, Chemistry and Physics specialists who are confident delivering the wider Science curriculum at secondary level.
About the role
You will deliver Science lessons, maintain clear classroom expectations and support pupils’ progress. With planning provided, you can focus on teaching, adapting lessons to your classes and helping pupils develop their understanding.
Your responsibilities will include:

Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3 and KS4.

Using the planned lessons and resources, adapting them to meet pupils’ needs.
*
Supporting GCSE preparation through clear explanations, questioning and feedback.
*
Delivering practical activities safely and encouraging scientific enquiry.
*
Assessing pupils’ understanding and addressing gaps in learning.
*
Working closely with the Science department to provide consistent teaching.
What you will need

QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*
Strong Science subject knowledge and experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
*
Confident classroom management and a clear, organised teaching approach.
*
A commitment to supporting pupils of different abilities.
*
Availability to start ASAP and commit to an ongoing role.
