Interim Finance Director | Dudley | 6-Month Contract
A growing construction business is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to join the organisation during a significant period of change.
Working closely with the leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational financial leadership, ensuring robust financial controls, effective cashflow management, and clear commercial insight to support business performance. You will also play a key role in driving improvements across finance processes, reporting, and wider business operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the finance function and managing a small finance team
* Providing strategic financial support to senior stakeholders
* Improving reporting, forecasting, and cashflow management
* Driving process improvement and change initiatives
* Supporting business planning, budgeting, and operational decision-making
* Strengthening financial controls and governance
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA/CIMA) with previous Finance Director or Head of Finance experience, ideally within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based environments. Experience of leading teams through change and transformation is essential.
Immediate start preferred.
