Location: North Scotland - project location confidential
Contract: 5 months, with potential for extension
Rate: £32 - £35 per hour, outside IR35
Start Dates: 10 Wirepeople - 1st week of November 2026 / 8 Wirepeople - 3rd week of November 2026

Turner Lovell is recruiting on behalf of a leading electrical engineering contractor delivering major UK electricity transmission and renewable energy projects.
We are looking for a team of experienced HV Wirepeople to join a major project in Scotland. This is a strong long-term contract opportunity, with 5 months initially and potential for extension.
The successful candidates will have strong experience working on HV substation projects and will be responsible for electrical installation, wiring, cabling and associated equipment.
Duties
Installation and assembly of electrical equipment on HV substation projects.
Cable glanding, terminating and installation.
Installation of control, protection and relay panels.
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Installation of LV/HV switchgear, multicore cables and associated equipment.
Working to project specifications, wiring regulations and SHEQ requirements.
Attending toolbox talks and following site procedures.
Requirements
Strong HV substation experience, ideally 132kV - 400kV.
Experience with electrical installation and current wiring regulations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and line diagrams.
CCNSG / CSCS Safety Passport.
Previous experience working in H&S-critical environments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to quality and safe working practices.
