Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing and production and is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to enhance their innovative team. Key Responsibilities:

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Laboratory Supervisor and Development team. Your responsibilities will include:

Laboratory Management: - Organise the laboratory to ensure all labelling, materials, and fixtures meet appropriate standards. Maintain cleanliness and order in the laboratory, overseeing equipment use, cleaning schedules, and quality systems.Conduct daily calibrations of key equipment for development work.Liaise with contract companies for cleaning, maintenance, and waste disposal procedures.Create and monitor cleaning and maintenance schedules for lab equipment.Ensure proper stock rotation and traceability of incoming materials by coordinating with suppliers.Maintain detailed records of ingredients, processes, and procedures for full traceability.Uphold good laboratory practises and assist in writing and reviewing procedures and guidelines.

Product Development:

- Produce reliable samples in the lab (concentrates, emulsions, finished products) and assist Scientists with recording production and analytical results. Support scientific and technical work on development projects, validating and recording samples or batches.Independently operate lab equipment essential for New Product Development (NPD) delivery.Qualifications and Professional Experience:

A technical education or a Bachelor of Science in a food-related science field such as Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Agricultural Engineering.
Previous laboratory experience in a food or beverage setting is advantageous. Key Competencies and Skills:

Basic understanding of R&D processes and beverage design.
Strong organisational skills to manage tasks relevant to NPD and laboratory performance.
Commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to identify areas for enhancement.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and persistence in managing workload.
Proficient English language skills, with a minimum conversational level.
