About this job

Temporary Administrator – Compliance

Letchworth | Office-based, 5 days per week

2-month interim

A great opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and customer-focused Administrator to join a busy Compliance team on a short-term interim basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating multiple tasks, and can communicate confidently with residents and contractors.

Working full-time from the Letchworth office, you’ll support the Compliance Coordinators who oversee essential safety checks across resident homes — including fire, electrical, water, lift and asbestos compliance. Your work will directly contribute to keeping residents safe and ensuring all statutory requirements are met.

The Role

As the Temporary Administrator, you will play a key part in keeping compliance activity running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

· Acting as a first point of contact for residents to arrange appointments

· Liaising with contractors to schedule servicing, repairs and inspections

· Raising orders and updating compliance data on internal systems

· Sending electrical safety documentation within agreed timeframes

· Coordinating follow-up repairs arising from inspections

· Monitoring target dates and ensuring accurate record-keeping

· Processing contractor invoices

· Issuing approval letters for resident alteration requests

This is a varied role requiring accuracy, strong communication skills and the ability to stay organised under pressure.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with:

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Strong administrative accuracy and attention to detail

· Confidence using Word and the ability to learn new systems quickly

· Good time-management and the ability to prioritise

· A calm, flexible and trustworthy approach

· Experience in repairs or maintenance administration (desirable but not essential)
