Whether you are an experienced TA, have a background in childcare, care or support work, or are looking for a flexible way to gain more classroom experience, we would love to hear from you.
Position: Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: Barking & Dagenham
Contract: Flexible Daily Supply & Long-Term Opportunities
Hours: Monday-Friday, Term Time Only
Pay: £93-£120 per day
Start: ASAP
Your Role:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Working alongside class teachers to support daily lessons and activities
Helping pupils stay engaged and encouraging positive learning behaviours
Supporting children with a range of additional needs where required
Assisting with classroom routines, resources and learning activities
Promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
Adapting quickly to different classrooms, year groups and school environmentsWe're Looking For:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Care Worker or Support Worker is desirable
A reliable, flexible and positive approach
Confidence working with children in a school or care environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain oneWhy Join Academics?
