This is an exciting opportunity for a PE Teacher who is passionate about using sport and physical education to engage pupils, build confidence and support positive behaviour. The successful candidate will be working with pupils who may have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of additional learning and behavioural needs.

The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will:

* Build strong, positive relationships with pupils.

* Support pupils who may display challenging behaviour or have difficulties with emotional regulation.

* Create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment.

* Monitor and assess pupil progress.

* Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider school team.

* Encourage pupils to develop healthy lifestyles and positive attitudes towards physical activity.

* Contribute to the wider life of the school through sporting activities and enrichment opportunities.

About You

We are looking for a PE Teacher who is:

* Resilient, patient and confident.

* Able to build positive relationships with pupils who may have challenging behaviour.

* Understanding of SEMH needs and the barriers they can create to learning.

* Confident managing behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.

* Able to adapt teaching methods to meet individual pupil needs.

* A strong communicator and team player.

* Committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential.

Experience working within an SEMH, SEN or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential. Teachers with mainstream experience who are looking to develop their experience within specialist education are also encouraged to apply
