Mechanical Assembly Technician
Location: Beccles, Suffolk
Pay: £16.68 per hour + regular overtime available at enhanced rates
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (up to 6 months)
  
Hales Group are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Technician on behalf of a leading engineering manufacturer based in Beccles.
  
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team building bespoke automation and specialist machinery for a range of industries. Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications, you'll be involved in the assembly, fitting and testing of high-quality machinery and mechanical systems.
  
Key Responsibilities

Mechanical assembly of machinery, sub-assemblies and specialist equipment
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, build instructions and technical documentation
Precision fitting, alignment and installation of mechanical components
Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
Selecting, modifying and installing parts to meet design specifications
Carrying out quality inspections throughout the assembly process
Identifying and reporting faults, defects or build issues
Maintaining accurate production records and documentation
Working to company quality, safety and production standards   
What We're Looking For

Previous experience in Mechanical Assembly, Mechanical Fitting, Machine Building or a similar engineering role
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
Experience using hand tools, power tools and general workshop equipment
Good understanding of assembly techniques and quality standards
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
