About this job

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the South West, who are recruiting for a Responsive Repairs Manager on a temporary three-to-six-month contract.

This is a home based role.

The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The daily rate on offer is circa £400 per day (Umbrella)

We're looking for someone with a strong background in social housing repairs, property services, maintenance operations, or asset management, who is confident managing stakeholders, contractors, and customer-focused services.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

*

Managing responsive repairs services across a housing portfolio

*

Overseeing complex damp and mould cases

*

Handling and resolving customer complaints and escalations

*

Driving contractor performance and service delivery

*

Chasing outstanding repairs and reducing backlogs

*

Conducting site visits and supporting operational teams on the ground

Experience required:

*

Proven experience managing responsive repairs services within a social housing or local authority environment

*

Strong knowledge of damp and mould management, including case resolution, contractor oversight, and resident engagement

*

Experience handling customer complaints, escalated cases, and disrepair matters, ensuring effective and timely resolutions

*

Demonstrable track record of managing in-house teams, contractors, and supply chain partners to achieve performance targets

*

Experience monitoring and improving repair KPIs, reducing backlogs, and driving service improvements

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

*

Strong experience managing responsive repairs and maintenance services within a social housing environment

*

Proven track record of handling damp & mould cases, customer complaints, and service escalations

*

Experience managing contractors, in-house repairs teams, and performance against KPIs

*

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive customer-focused service improvements and reduce repair backlogs

Working hours:

*

35 hours per week

*

Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
