About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students academic progress, emotional well-being, organisation, and self-regulation, helping them navigate the demands of secondary school while building confidence and independence.
We're looking for a patient and resilient individual who can develop a positive and trusting relationship with the students while maintaining high expectations and promoting positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Support the students in maintaining focus, engagement, and participation during lessons
Implement strategies to support attention, organisation, time management, and emotional regulation
Help manage transitions between lessons and different school environments
Promote positive behaviour and support the student in meeting individual targets
Build a strong, professional relationship with the student based on trust, consistency, and encouragement
Monitor and report on the student's progress, well-being, and engagementRequirements

Experience supporting children or young people with ADHD, SEMH needs, or other SEND requirements
A strong understanding of ADHD and the strategies that support attention, engagement, and emotional regulation
Strong behaviour management, communication and teamwork skills
Experience working within a secondary school setting (desirable)
Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Youth Work, SEND, or a related field would be advantageous but are not essential
A genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potentialA commitment to supporting student well-being, promoting positive behaviour, and helping young people achieve successful outcomes is essential.
