Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to children's lives?
A supportive and inclusive primary school in South Manchester is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision. This role is available for an immediate start and offers the opportunity to work with pupils across a variety of primary age groups, supporting children with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs.
The Role:
Supporting pupils within a specialist provision designed for children with a range of SEND needs.
Working with children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
Providing tailored support for pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs.
Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and confidence both in and out of the classroom.
Supporting children with emotional regulation and implementing positive behaviour strategies.
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN and/or SEMH needs is essential.
Experience within a primary school, specialist provision, alternative provision, or care setting is highly desirable.
Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to supporting children with additional needs.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to adapt to the differing needs of pupils across various age groups.
